It's Christmas day as we sit here reflecting on what a kick ass year 2005 has turned out to be. Even though we had no idea about how to start a greeting card company, we dove in head first and went for it. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Bankruptcy — check. Humiliation — check. Living with tens of thousands of unsold cards — you get the picture. Well thankfully, it turns out that our fears were unfounded and people from the US and around the world have been buying our cards. Our good friends at High Falls Mercantile in upstate New York hosted our first HDP launch party and a great time was had by all. In addition to selling a ton of holiday cards, we were thrilled to get so much positive reaction to the whole collection. We have loads of new product planned for 2006: posters, photographic cards (no dreamy sunsets or horses in meadows we promise), another Morrissey flavored card in time for the release of his new album in March, more wedding and unions stuff, HDP for Her, a calendar, and a bunch of other goodies we can't talk about just yet. Rest assured, Handsome Devil Press oven mitts are coming soon. Just kidding. Thanks again for being a part of our little company, and we hope you keep checking back to see what's cookin' in the coming year. 2006, here we come!
